During this time, she pioneered the concierge program by working closely with local restaurants, bars, and venues to provide an exceptional experience for the hotel guests. The program showed immediate success as local San Diego businesses thrived. Her hotel went from #11 to #3 on TripAdvisor in less than 4 months due to the number of positive reviews saying the staff went “above and beyond” (hence why the company is called Above and Beyond VIP Concierge).
Since then, she moved back to NYC. Resilient, fierce, and fearless are some of the words that help explain Jackie Botelho. She bootstrapped her first company, ABCVIP, in 2018, with very little money in the bank and a mission to provide an affordable way to experience New York City like a VIP.
Without funding and while building her dream, Jackie had to be resourceful. She learned how to create her own website and started hosting game nights at local restaurants. Since then, ABCVIP has evolved into a Hospitality and Events Agency that has planned/hosted over 200 events and is the exclusive concierge and event planner for multiple companies, including four Marriotts in Manhattan.
Being adaptable to changing times and listening to the needs of her clients, Jackie recently launched Botelho, a white-glove concierge company that creates a more bespoke New York City experience. Botelho is proud to be the exclusive concierge for companies like The Yale Club, and Major League Baseball, as well as a number of luxury residential buildings, and private clients.
Currently, Jackie has organically built partnerships with over 400 venues, activities, vendors, and industry experts. She does not take “no” for an answer, is on pace to launch both companies in a second location in 2023, and is just getting started!
